Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez

5.0

Thank you Netgalley & Forever Publishing for sending me an arc of Just for the Summer.

Just for the Summer, was the perfect rom-com summer read. While going into this, I was in a huge book slump, but this got me right out of it.
This story is told from both perspectives of Emma and Justin, these two met by chance online through a similar situation where finding love has always been tough for them but has been the best for their exes once they've broken up. Its quite a crazy and truly blossomed into a wonderful read about true love.

I very much enjoyed being able to learn about their life stories and how it has contributed to how they are with others. They both have gone through things that I believe and also show that mental health matters and it's important to talk about. I really loved how this book touched on that and helps others to see the options they may have when going through something so hard or trying to heal from previous trauma.

With that being said, I think anyone would enjoy this read if you love meet-cutes, found family, fake-dating and summer romance tropes. This book gives all that and more plus lots of banter and lovely moments. This was such a lovely read and I can't wait to get my hands on physical copy when it comes out.
