I am completely and utterly taken by the Geisha and this book was a very intimate look into that world. As much as knowing the facts are interesting (as with the book Geisha by Lesley Downer) following an actual character is much more intimate. I thought this was a beautiful story, rich and well crafted. This is a book I read at least once a year, if not more.
