Ford & Millie have a history from college together being best friends and almost more. After Ford becomes a dad unexpectedly & get drafted to the NFL, his world turns upside down and their relationship falls to the wayside. Fast forward 9 years, Ford comes back as the Treasure State Wildcats Football head coach and Millie is the Assistant Athletic Director. Both are surprised when they see each other, and both realize those feelings from many years ago, never went away….
I loved this story so much. Millie & Ford’s second chance at love is so electric. The angst and how they tried to fight it, could never change the inevitable. This was a quick read, meaning I couldn’t put it down, and I’m sad I read it so fast. Ford puts Millie and Joey first throughout the whole book and it is swoon worthy. Millie & Ford were made for each other! This will definitely be another book trophy go on my shelf. I can’t wait to read Blitz and read about Toren!
