My first 5 stars of the year.

And wow, wow, what a ride.

I can't believe I bought this book five years ago, and I'm only getting to it now. Part of me is glad I waited this long to read it: I don't think I would've been ready for it back then. But another part of me is sad that this has only fallen into my lap now: I was about to get rid of it, put aside in the dark with a pile of other books I didn't think I'd enjoy.

Well, looks like I'll have to be going through those books more frequently now. Maybe I'll find more 5 star, hidden gems.

(Side note: my only complaint, strangely enough, because this never happens, is that there wasn't enough romance for my taste!)
