I don't know if this series could have ended any more unsatisfactorily. Shortly after the switch from BPRD to Hell on Earth I started losing interest in the characters as the story telling became more and more perfunctory and less inspired as it trudged on, but it did have enough moments to keep me going. I am going to have to recommend if anyone asks just don't bother with the Hell on Earth series, it diminishes how brilliant the series used to be when it was just BPRD.
