After dumping her fiancé on TV she leaves Vancouver to start over & go back to her nursing career in a small town. This reminded me a little of Virgin River with the “meeting the doc & talking about joining his practice without knowing it’s him thing.” Except she ends up fake dating her boss when the Jerk of an ex rolls into town not taking no for an answer. It doesn’t take long for the fake dating to not be so fake anymore though. 

 

They both had a lot of stuff they needed to work on. Ally’s people pleaser tendencies and fear of confrontation….Noah’s PTSD and not being willing to ask anyone for help. 

 

This wasn’t a short book/novella but I still walked away from it wanting more. I hate to be that person that’s always saying “give me more” but with Ally & Noah I really did want more from them. I know we’ll see them again later in the series but it just doesn’t feel like enough! 😂
