This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Thank you to Bookouture for letting me take part in this tour and for my copy of this book via Negalley. This is the 8th book in the Detective Ellie Reeves series but they can all be read as standalones.

Ellie and her team catch quite a complex case this time. When multiple sets of remains that are a decade old are discovered, Ellie is sure they are connected but how? It’s so much more difficult to investigate a crime 10 years after it happened. Ellie and the team work hard to uncover the truth and keep us on the edge of our seats the whole way through.

The story has many threads running through it and Rita keeps the mystery up as to how they are all connected. Intense from the beginning and explosive to the end this is another brilliant addition to the series
