I have always been a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks and always adored his books. The Longest Ride was no exception. It did in some ways remind me of some previous pieces of his that I've read but no on the whole. The way it was written is plain and siple something I look for in a book.
The characters were wonderful especially Ira and Ruth. Their story is the thing of fairytales. The life and marriage is something that seems so out of reach in the modern world anymore. Sofia and Luke were so sweet. There really isn't any other word to describe what they were.
Overall this story is one that will stay with me.
