The Mothers by Brit Bennett

5.0

I thought the book was beautifully written. The characters were complex and I loved how they all intertwined. Bennett's style of writing is raw, poetic, and engaging. It was intriguing to read the story from the point of view of the conservative, yet real, congregation. I'm writing this review solely to comment that, towards the end, the story seemed a bit like anti-abortion propaganda.
