Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

5.0

This book cover (the blue one, which I like MUCH better than the pinkish one) reminds me of "Across the Universe" ... with a girl striding out in the middle.

There are so many dystopian novels out there - it's interesting to see all the different approaches to how the world could end and what happens to those who survive. I really liked this story. Some people living in protected pods and the structured/electronic world. Others trying to survive outside in the wild, developing stronger senses as a mutation.

I liked the romance - while the book seemed to indicate that those with the same sense should get together, it seemed it didn't work out that way in any of the relationships in the book (Perry's parents, Vale and his wife, Roar and Liv, Perry and Aria).

If I had the second book here, I'd start reading it immediately ... but I don't. I see there is a novella (Roar and Liv) ... hmmmm, never sure if I want to pay for a few pages ...
