The Beauty Myth: How Images of Beauty Are Used Against Women by Naomi Wolf

4.0

Lots of Wolf’s ideas are still quite salient in 2022, but their presentation doesn’t hold up as well over time. The writing delves into long personal opinion tangents, and doesn’t do so hot on the intersectionality front. Obviously an important book for what it did in its time, but not one that I’d pass along when there are now so many better options.
