The Heart's Invisible Furies by John Boyne
5.0
John Boyne is such a strong writer and I'm always amazed at how he can have such different voices in all of his novels.
This one takes place over seven year increments as we follow a young Irish boy dealing with his burgeoning sexuality.
It is powerful, wry, and contains just the right amount of sentimentality. I really enjoyed reading this book and cannot recommend it enough.
