Gender Outlaw: On Men, Women, and the Rest of Us by Kate Bornstein

5.0

I bought this from my (formerly) local-ish gay bookstore Gay's the word and then sat on it as I got through the books I wanted to read or had already started. I'm so, so glad I read it when I did though. It's fun, informative, easy to read with the text broken up visually so it doesn't feel so daunting and difficult. That's one of the ways that it kept me so drawn in, that and the fact everything presented within resonated and gave me things to think about. The fact it touches upon the TERF ideaology that's becoming more present online in places like Twitter and Tumblr makes it feel much closer to home and more present.

If you're thinking of reading this book, please do. If you have this book and haven't read it yet, please do. It's witty and fun and all about a thing we all have in one way or another.
