Fierce by Lola Malone

Ooookay... This was a tough one. I mean, I felt like I was in a maze and "even though I found the way out", I still feel like my thoughts are all tangled up after going around a thousand times!

That being said, I can't wait for the next one! I want to know what is going to happen!

Where to start... Ok, I've been reading several reviews and I almost feel like I've read a different book? Almost. And with this I do not mean that I did not like it, on the contrary, as I said before, I want the next book now! But I feel that in a couple of things I differ somewhat with what other readers have seen in some attitudes of the protagonists, especially Samuel and especially at the beginning.

I have to say that towards the end, he ended up growing on me, his concern, the desire to take care of Charlie, to help him heal, to protect him, helped a lot. He was a bit obsessed... (and I loved it).

It was hard for me to understand why Logan, knowing how fragile Charlie was, sent him on such a mission, with a bodyguard who was supposed to protect him, but who at the same time couldn't intervene? And yes, in that mission Charlie found some closure to something that happened in his past, but did Logan know this, or did he just decide to take a risk?

And Charlie, poor sweet thing, so fragile, but who knew how to find a fierceness within him to carry out that mission and also protect people dear to him.

It's an intriguing story, with many twists and turns and characters that are more than they appear to be.

I was given an advanced review and voluntarily wrote a review.
