oh my god!!!! welcome to plot twist city my lil thriller friend!!!
I am still in a state of shock 3 hours after finishing this one y’all it was mind blowing
twenty years ago, chloe watched as her father was arrested for the murders of 6 children in her hometown. twenty years later, another serial killer with a similar MO springs up in the town where chloe is currently living, and she does not think that’s a coincidence. the key is … getting someone to believe her.
from the first page, I was convinced I knew who the big bad was. I was excited because I thought it was going to be a great twist when I eventually got to it, until the book started to lean in that direction as well.
so I had to get creative and brainstorm my new theory (because when a main character is convinced it’s someone midway through the book, it’s almost always not lol) - and I had a new one that was even better.
UNTIL I WAS WRONG. ON ALL LEVELS.
I’m in shock holy cow this was so out of left field but everything made complete sense. I don’t even know how to describe it. but please read this one it will be so worth it :’)
thank you to book of the month for making this one an advanced copy ahead of the release in january. PLEASE GET THIS ONE EVERYONE.
rating: 5 stars (can it be more??)
wine pairing: columbia valley pinot noir
