This Wretched Valley by Jenny Kiefer
5.0
Phew this book was intense. I absolutely ate it up.
We start the book off finding out that 3 missing people turn up dead in the Kentucky wilderness. 1 person is still missing.
The book dives into a few theories on what may have happened in the wilderness, then we travel back to the POV of the group of 4 as they venture into the unknown.
Let me tell you there are some CREEPY scenes in this book. It gave off BLAIR WITCH meets THE RUINS vibes. I loved the survival horror elements just as much as the supernatural elements.
Have you read this one? If not, you should definitely add it to your tbr if you're looking for a fast-paced survival horror that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Ps: When I looked at this cover, all I could think of was that old school tv show that had the cliffhanger segment. You know what l'm saying? "CLIFF HANGER, HANGING FROM A CLIFF."
