“Then he wrapped his strong, capable arms around me and kissed me to seal the deal.”
GRAAAAAAAAH! This has, easily, got to be one of the best MM romance books I’ve ever read. Which means a lot, since I’m usually incredibly critical of what I read. Even the classic “misunderstanding” in the third act was done in the least annoying way possible. I don’t think I’ve seen that particular romance trope done so well.
There’s also the dynamic between the two leads—it’s very fun and compelling. Not quite enemies-to-lovers, not quite childhood friends-to-lovers. But a secret third thing that was better than both.
Punching the wall that I’ll have to wait until next summer for the next entry.
