This is the third ARC I have read in the ‘Fighting for love’ novella series set in the shared world of the Knockout Gym and omg this one (like the rest of them!) was just so so good!

19 year old Levi comes from a terrible home; his father is an alcoholic who regularly beats him and his mother. He is too afraid to leave in case his father kills his mother, but he knows he’s going to end up seriously injured or worse the longer he stays. Especially if his dad ever finds out he’s gay…

23 year old August is struggling to make ends meet. He works part-time at Knockout Gym as a self-defence teacher after having moved away from his overbearing parents. His whole world is flipped upside down when a beautiful boy with a bruised face and terror in his eyes stumbles into Knockout Gym looking for safety.

What follows is a really sweet story about two people coming together to help each other in the most dire of circumstances. Neither Levi nor August have a lot of money, but they’re both determined to be a team and help each other out.

Their almost instant co-dependence was sweet to read (and as someone who practically moved in with their first ex after experiencing trauma at home, I get it!) and I loved how open and honest they were with each other. No third act breakup, no major relationship angst - we love a happy ending 🥰

This book is out on the 21st Jan; do yourself a favour and give it a read (along with the rest of the series!) 💕 Thank you to the author for the free eARC - all opinions are my own.
