Happy Harbor by Rachel Hanna

4.0

In a span of a day Josie is fired from her job, she finds out her fiancé is leaving her for another woman, her daughter is being kicked out of school and her grandmother has died. Now forced to return home to Happy Harbor, an idyllic small town where everyone knows everyone and the place Josie has run from her entire adult lie, Josie finds she is being given a second chance at life.

I won't lie, Josie is hard to like. She's bossy, pushy and unwavering. She doesn't do well with interpersonal relationships and she's naturally cynical. As the story evolves we learn why and how, while we also see her rebuild her relationship with her daughter and her mom.

I really enjoyed Happy Harbor by Rachel Hanna, it would make a great beach read.

Thank you Blackstone Publishing for the gifted ARC.
