What an amazing book. Very strange that it's marketed as YA. It's a lovely, terrifying, book on par with the best of contemporary adult novels. If you can finish it without weeping, I think something is broken in your reader-brain. I cared about all the characters. Even the rotten ones. The small family at the core of this book stands with all the classic families in the great books. The whole thing knocked my socks off.
