Filthy Rich Fae by Geneva Lee

4.0

Filthy Rich Fae by Geneva Lee is my first book by the author and I'll admit that I am a bit hooked. I did notice some reviews sharing red flags about Filthy Rich Vampires so I think I'll stick to this series and see how it plays out.

Lachlan Gage is the morally grey book boyfriend mixed with a mafia persona oh and he's the leader of his court of fae. He meets Cate for the first time when she comes to plead for her brother's life and makes a bargain she doesn't fully understand. I enjoyed the progression of the story, I really loved that it's set in New Orleans and I didn't find any of the characters insufferable except maybe Cate's brother.

Though the book ended on a cliffhanger there are also plenty of unanswered questions to carry into the next book. I have not read ACOTAR yet, so I can't give any comparison notes but I am looking forward to seeing where this story goes and have the next book on preorder.

Thank you Entangled Publishing Amara for the gifted ARC copy.
