Bloom by Delilah S. Dawson
4.0
3.5
Spooky Szn in full BLOOM.
How far will we let our insecurities get the best of us?
Bloom starts off like a cozy romance between an insecure woman trying to find herself and the charming, mysterious treats and goods vendor at the local, quaint farmer's market.
Cottage Core from hell, Delilah S. Dawson uses the expectations of these sort of stories and her wry, nasty sense of humor to tell a horror tale for the romantic in you.
It's predictable from the get go; but the prose, the explorations of sexuality, the self, and relationships add fresh ingredients enough to pack some punches into this story.
