Lady Chatterley's Lover by D.H. Lawrence

3.0

Whoever called this Bridgerton meets Pride and Prejudice did not read this book... I wanted to read this before watching the movie, and I'm really glad that I did! I felt a lot of conflicting feelings while reading, and my thoughts are still pretty jumbled. A lot of the discussions and debates happening throughout this book between characters were really interesting (albeit some were outdated, but I supposed that's to be expected, even if it is annoying). However, I didn't really care for any of the actual relationships between characters, nor for the characters themselves. I felt like each character was 50 different characters, and it was hard to piece together the reasoning behind their reactions at times. I did enjoy the writing itself very much, as well as the ending, so that was a plus.
