- an impactful and powerful story about grief, with quite a few flaws that limit the story’s potential. is a written version of a film by the same name and the same author/filmmaker.
- pros: queer indigenous romance, realistic portrayal of grief and of reservations,
- cons: main character’s development was rushed & out of proportion at times, little to no emotional pay off from the book’s dark themes, no character arc for our romantic pair, cheating trope.
Graphic: Death, Drug use, Homophobia, Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, Suicide, Grief, and Suicide attempt
Moderate: Alcoholism and Bullying
