Summer at Skylark Farm by Heidi Swain

In this second book of this series we meet Amber and Jake, both who live and work together in London, but decide to move to Wynbridge to Jake’s auntie’s farm. It’s a huge life change for Amber and not quite the idyllic country picture she’d imagined but she’s determined to get stuck in.
Oh there’s something about a Heidi Swain book that will always put a smile on your face. It was so nice to be back in Wynbridge! I loved these new characters and discovering Skylark Farm and seeing it come to life. It made me want to book a stay at the cottage! I love how Heidi’s characters instantly feel like your friends, there’s a sense of community in every one of her books that just makes you feel at home.
I really enjoyed the side characters in this one, I’m hoping we get to see more of Harriet and Jessica as the Wynbridge series continues!
There was a little sense of mystery in that you knew something was coming, and yes I predicted what was coming, but I’m not mad about it 😂 I loved how the story played out and I can’t wait to hopefully see more of Amber, Jake, Annie and the farm again in the series!
