4.5

First of all, I love this series. Hockey MM romances are one of my favorite subgenres, but there are many books out there now, and it can be a bit overwhelming. This series has renewed my love for it.

This story was adorable, and Remi and Grayson were two great complementing MCs. There is no drama between the two MCs, just them slowly understanding what they want. The gay-for-you trope was well done, especially because it was more about Remi being probably ace/demi.

The author is known for their a bit abrupt endings but in this case, I think it was not too bad. It doesn't really matter (to me) what team Grayson ends up in at the end of the story. Not all hockey romances must end up with the two MCs finding a way not to live long distances. Long distance is okay. Not everything must be perfect for you to be happy, which I think is important to have in romance stories.

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.
