I Liked My Life by Abby Fabiaschi

5.0

4.5 stars. I think this was a solid 4-star for me, I was enjoying it. It was making me thing. Then there was a bit of a twist there at the end that pushed it higher for me. I think this will stick in my memory.

The story switched between three different POVs. Maddy (from the afterlife), and her husband Brady, and daughter Eve. Three different narrators, for which I was grateful. I like my different voices to have distinct voices.

This was interesting on several levels for me. The suicide subject. The journal. Some of the realizations at the end were especially interesting SPOILER
Spoiler although it was horrible that they thought Madeline had jumping, taking her own life, viewing it as a suicide made Brady address the death and study himself and change in a very different way than if he'd known the truth from the start. And as awful as it was ... he ended up in a much better place because of the "suicide").

So while I wasn't really attempting to guess the ending or anything, this wasn't at all what I expected. It kept me guessing!
