Tempting the Player by Rebecca Jenshak

5.0

I hate to see the Wallflowers end, but this ending was so well done and the perfect send off for this wonderful group of young women. Jane has kept her identity a secret in the hopes of having a normal college experience. After revealing that she’s really a child star singer and actress, her life starts to get chaotic, crazy and a little bit dangerous. Her attention is drawn to good looking, very much grumpy Hendrick. He always seems to show up just when she needs a rescue, and she can’t help but be attracted and drawn to him. Just when she thinks he may reciprocate her feelings, everything changes. Her safe place is vandalized, and the one guy she was beginning to let in turns out to be a bodyguard her parents hired behind her back. When the danger she’s in doesn’t let up Hendrick swears to protect her at all cost. But will she trust her safety to the man who broke her trust? Can she learn to forgive him? Hendrick knows he can keep her safe, and the safest place for her in his arms. This book was so high on emotion and suspense, which was different for this series, but so amazing. I loved Jane’s sunny and sweet disposition. And I loved how she brought light and happiness back to Hendrick’s world. His growly, grumpiness is a perfect balance for her sweetness. His brothers were amazing and I’m hoping we’ll get a spin off series featuring them! I really loved this book and this series!
