i was hugging this book to my chest and just stared at the ceiling in shock after finishing it. that's how you know the book was incredible. it puts you in so much awe that you're out of words in your vocabulary. none are big enough, beautiful enough to describe it.
it is a slow-medium pace book, so keep that in mind if you want to read it. the way Zusak threads the words together just pulls you into the writing. and even though it is quite a slow-paced and fairly long book, i never once felt bored or uninterested.
i love how the author showed us every aspects of Liesel's life - family, friends, the war,... everything was portrayed beautifully. and i also found the storytelling through Death's point of view very intriguing and it captivates the readers.
overall, a magnificent story that will surely keep itself a very special place in your heart.
