Pizza Girl by Jean Kyoung Frazier
2.0
I picked up this novel hoping to dive into the world and mindset of its characters, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The main character, a young woman, comes across as shallow and self-centered, struggling to empathize with anyone but herself.
Throughout the book, I was waiting for a meaningful character arc, a transformation that would show growth and self-awareness. However, any hint of change only appeared in the last few paragraphs, which felt too little, too late to redeem the story.
While I appreciate the attempt to explore the protagonist's inner world, the lack of depth and empathy made it difficult to connect with her journey. For readers seeking a more profound exploration of character development and personal growth, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
