DARKROOM by Nick Christie
5.0
This book is like a soap opera that brings a mixture of characters together, who are all connected by the Darkroom club. Darkroom is a gay leather club and owned by Dean, he is the most central character in the book.
Nick's books are always unapologetically honest, almost primal with a great deal of 'own voice' genuineness. The book covers many kinks, not all carried out by central characters, but expect all bodily fluids. Book licking does feature heavily, as does the love of leather; the feel the fit and the smell. I felt I could smell the leather at times. Messy, sloppy, smelly; not one for the easily offended. Lots of leather brands mentioned and I found myself googling them so I get the right picture in my head. Dean and Darren are perfect together, one minute they are taking part in a hot and heavy session, sometimes with others watching and participating and the next they are having swoony, tender moments just them. It is a 5 star read because it feels so real and genuine, it's not all sunshine and roses, this author is one of the few that dares to mention all of the smells and tastes and not just the fresh, showered smells.
