The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka
4.0
It's hard to believe that Kafka wrote "The Metamorphosis" in 1915. The story feels incredibly modern, and its message is just as relevant today. The isolation that Gregor experiences after his unexpected transformation, and the fear and hostility he faces from those around him, mirror the feelings of rejection that many people still feel today when they don't fit into societal or religious norms. It's a profound reflection on human nature and the struggle to find acceptance. A truly great read!
