Morningstar by David Gemmell

I like it. It's not the best book ever but I enjoyed reading it.
I like how the book plays with how word of mouth, despair, believe and legend shape what we believe to know. That Jarek is shaped into a hero and legend for the people, when he mostly has only his own interests in mind. And how he changes (a bit) and became his own legend. :)
I liked the characters okay. I wish the book would have been a bit longer so that we could have gotten to know them better.
The story itself flows nicely but feels to short in some regards. Some things (like the Vampyre Kings) have been glossed over in my opinion.
All in all an enjoyable read.
