Three Reckless Words by Nicole Snow
slow-paced
4.0
Winnie is looking for a new life, sick of being told what to do, where to work, who to marry, etc. So on her wedding day, still in her dress, she is out and on her way to..somewhere. She finds a rental to stay at, and that one decision will change her life.
Archer and his brothers have worked hard for their company. He’s a single father to a brilliant son, Colt. One night, Colt is out doing things he shouldn’t, and Archer has to go to one of their rentals to pick him up. Upon arrival, the renter, Winnie, is feeding the three, Colt one of them, wedding cake. Archer and Winnie don’t exactly hit it off but she inquires about staying longer, to which he agrees. His son now grounded, and hopefully he won’t have any more issues from the rental.
Well, that’s the start..so it ends up that Winnie loves bees, and Archer has bees on the property, special bees. And bees take on a whole story of this own. As everyone is cordial and blissful, remember the first part..about Winnie being told what to do with her life? Well, she walked away from that, her parents and ex, and they are not happy about it. Now they enter the story and complicate things big time! So Winnie has to decide what’s she going to do, go back to her old life, or stand her ground in hopes of a new life.
Very good read overall. I truly liked the story line. For me, it read a bit slow in the beginning but once it got past the halfway point, it was hard to put down. Very entertaining at that point. I didn’t realize this was part of a series, book 3, and it read ok as a stand alone. The first 2 books are Archer’s brothers so I will go back and read them when I get time.
