The Shadow Games is the first book in The Shadow Academy series. It is well paced dystopian- fantasy novel that is full of adventure and action that will leave readers wanting more.

Along with some amazing world building of both Upper and Lower Vegas, The Shadow Games is full of intriguing and well developed characters that readers will find it hard not to like. The main protagonist Vesper is tough and determined, yet scared of her own potential powers. Her relationship with the other side characters is important in their own individual way. Add in a slight romantic twist that’s subtle and doesn’t overthrow the main storyline, and this book is a recipe for success.
One great addition to this book is the little dragon called Ty. He has such spunk at times and I hope we will see more of this crazy character throughout the series!
