This book is A LOT, like did someone tell Abnett he could only do one more book in the series, and he tried to cram everything in?

There are some great elements to this, with some unique explorations of then mysteries in the setting, but certain characters have some pretty hammy dialog that just explains things that I wish we as a reader found out more naturally. 

Having read the Ravenor series before this, it was nice to see Gideon, but as a whole this one tried to do too much, without really letting any one thing breath.
