Dolores Claiborne by Stephen King

medium-paced

5.0

A very different book compared to the other Stephen King novels but not in a bad way.

There is a very strong voice which carries you through the whole story. It's a straight forward story without twists nor surprises but the strength in this novel is in the details of her story. What we see on the surface is really only that without giving much thought for what lies beneath.

Perhaps I enjoyed this because of the simplicity of it all and how this one character can carry so much weight and presence.
