the first part of the book was kind of boring, every chapters dragging like snail making me thirsty of action and the narration is quite slow-paced and unnecessarily wordy. the characters are fine, but of course i do not got attached to them more than of what i had expected. anyway, i like the story, especially when the magic has been introduced, awakening my long hibernating desire for fantasy. and that magic made me alive again, like how all fantasy worlds i have ventured, the universe of the poppy war gave me another age to my growing old soul. i hope it will still cling to my heart until the end.
