With all respect to Ray Bradbury and his works, this one did not do it for me. I loved his other books, but this one was a bit difficult to follow. The plot was really intriguing. I was totally enthralled by the creepy carnival coming to town during Halloween. The actual execution was.. somewhat outdated. The writing style is clearly from a different time, and I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if I were also from that time, or if the book was written recently. I’m not saying it’s a bad book, I’m just saying I wasn’t completely hooked due to the writing. It was still a fun and spooky seasonal read for me, though!
