The Road to Roswell by Connie Willis

4.0

I would not call this a romance book. Romance is...sorta in this, but honestly, this is more of a road trip with an alien and a squad of unlikely people (who were also abducted lol). If I hadn't used the audiobook I honestly would've DNF this book when our alien conspiracy theorist of the group, Lyle, joined because...my god he is SO annoying. Did not enjoy him one bit. I don't think you're supposed to but...hooooooo he tested my patience. The rest of the group I adored because I am a SUCKER for found family tropes.

Francie and Indy are the heart of this book. Their bond is so wholesome and sweet. They are the strongest part of this story hands down. Side note: There are MANY Western references. Joseph likes his movies, and once he is introduced, get ready for them. I really wish there was more with Joseph and Eula Mae...and so much less of Lyle.
