I read and really enjoyed another book by this author (the Bodyguard) so I was expecting a good romance, but I’m not even sure that this book qualifies as a romance.
There are so many things that made me uneasy throughout this book, and I might have quit except I was reading it for a book club. It ended stronger than it began, so I guess it turned out ok.
Some things I’m not a fan of:
-Main characters still in/just out of college
-Adults making stupid decisions and sticking with them rather than backtracking when that’s an option
-a love triangle (mmc kisses/dates another woman)
-immature people being put in positions of leadership/power
-death of a child (in the past but talked about in detail)
