I love this book so much it is fantastic, Malinda Lo has written an emotional and gripping story of what it means to be Lesbian in a time where that was not as accepted as it is today. (As in it wasn't at all) A story of finding yourself and your identity while dealing with racism in all its forms, I was crying. This is one of those books I recommend to anyone. Also deals with the Red Scare and the threat of being deported.
Graphic: Homophobia, Racism, and Lesbophobia
Moderate: Outing
