The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck

4.0

In regards to class struggle, this book will be eternally topical. Exemplifies it expertly yet simply.

I absolutely love John Steinbeck's writing style, when he describes a character I immediately picture what they would look like in full detail. The scenes he paints are vivid. These are qualities I often find lacking in most of the more current books I have read so I am always thankful for that with Steinbeck. Really though I probably just need to pick better books to read.

What a way to end a book though. If someone told me beforehand there is no way I would have thought them serious. Won't be forgetting that, I guess.
