This horror novel was really fun (if a horror novel can be considered fun)! I enjoyed the pacing of the story, the way the author was able to build a creepy, disorienting atmosphere, the gory elements, and the snarky protagonist. The campy "knock-off IKEA" setting and the included illustrations throughout the book were such a fun addition to the story and I loved how it seemed like the author was able to write a serious horror novel, but also not take it too seriously. So far, every novel I have read of Grady Hendrix's has been great and this one was no exception!
