The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

4.0

Okay really! It’s good! I like that I have no idea about anything that happened and I love the time travel elements. It’s an amazing look into Who the Self is how The Self Changes etc

it’s all very careful and each character is distinct while keeping Aiden Bishop somewhere close to the surface. the ending is surprising, if a bit contrived, but it’s probably better than where I would have ended it with so much of the story still unsolved.

Evelyn’s initial comments to Sebastian about being able to reinvent the self, and how his (perceived) situation was really a blessing become very important to the overall story, and the writing is Atmospheric in the best way. i just think it’s a little...overwrought.
