It took me a moment to really like Jade. She initially came across as a little cold and self centered with her fake engagement to get ahead in her job. She seemed to disregard her boyfriend’s feelings and just pushed forward. When Declan comes into the picture, Jade becomes a more well rounded character. Maybe the boyfriend being distant and disconnected caused Jade to come across the way she did. When she was interacting with someone who was more engaged, her true nature was allowed to reveal itself.

I want to know more about Declan. In the previous books, Declan was present but more of a side character. Even seeing what a sweetheart he is, I still feel like the are layers left to be revealed. I’m hoping there is a little more of his and Jack’s early years shown to us. I like their relationship and how you can tell they’ve both been around for a bit.

As this series continues, there characters get more interesting and well rounded. I cannot wait to see what comes next.
