2.5-3/5 stars. I love Tessa Dare as a person, so I was super bummed out by my experience with this book. It started off strong and I was really into it, and then in the middle it just got really bleh for me. It took me MONTHS to want to pick this back up (only because I had dnfing books, personally). For me, there wasn't enough tension & the character's inner monologues drove me insane. I truly do love a good cheesy romance, but the cheesiness in their inner monologues and the way the dialogue was written really got to me for some reason. I felt like they didn't really have any personalities, and I did not care about their characters. Towards the end I was a little more invested, which is why I gave it 3/5 stars, but it was shaping up to be a solid 2 stars before that. I still want to read more books by Tessa Dare because I love her as a person, but this one didn't do it for me.
