The Snowman is the seventh book in the Harry Hole series.  This book CAN be read as a standalone and does not need to be read in order!  This was a gripping, immersive, and utterly chilling read.  The Snowman is action-packed and fast-paced.  This book is a police procedural, serial killer novel, with a damaged detective in the lead.  The book is very detail oriented, which paints a very creepy and vivid picture for the reader.  The character development is spectacular, with each character bringing their own piece to the puzzle.  While it took me almost a week to read, it was not due to lack of trying.  I am sick, but I really didn’t want to put it down, I just didn’t have the energy to read it as much as I would have liked.  Each night, I did go to bed having dreams of me trying to figure out who the heck The Snowman was!  I could not figure it out.  The ending was absolutely shocking and thrilling.  Jo Nesbø is a pure genius.  I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a creepy thriller!
