Travels with Herodotus by Ryszard Kapuściński

4.0

A polish reporter who has never travelled has the opportunity to do so (this is Iron Curtain times, so this is rare). He takes Herodotus on his travels and you get his observations along with a discussion of Herodotus' travels. Plus general comments on what travel teaches you (opens your mind, people are the same everywhere). Quirky and, for a traveller, interesting.
