Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire

5.0

"Some adventures require nothing more than a willing heart and the ability to trip over the cracks in the world."

As a child, I would always imagine the possibility of finding doors or holes that lead to magical places like Narnia and Alice in Wonderland. and this book is making this feeling resurface. of course, the Moor itself is a creepy world and no one in their right mind would enjoy finding that door. but it's still a magical place.

This book absolutely took my breath away. The writing style is the main reason why. I usually don't like books with a lot of descriptions but in this one I found myself reading and visualizing every single word. It was adventurous in a slightly creepy way and I loved it.

I think I enjoyed it more than the first book because it took place in one of the dimensions/worlds/prisms, unlike the first book which mainly focused on describing the different worlds yet all of the actual events happened in our world.

I really really really love Jack she was my favorite character in Every Heart a Doorway. I found her really interserting and fascinating and when

the first book ended in her creating her door and going back to the world with her killer twin I was very disappointed. but then I found out that the second book was about her I couldn't wait until I started reading it

I think this book is too short I want more of Jack!
